Ever since 1961, our company has operated with the passion for people and providing quality parts and service. If you were to talk to our founder, Gene Schey, he would still say that it was the customers and employees who made the little fuel services into what we are today; “The customer and our employees are everything, it has to be about them.”

I joined Alliant Power with zero knowledge of the diesel parts industry but simply a mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn. I started my career off in our fuel injection shop eventually advancing into a leadership position that is responsible for a very motivated and loyal sales team in the Southwest region of the United States.

I realized very early on that Alliant Power empowers its employees to become leaders in their given roles and encourages each employee to take pride in their responsibilities. I have been an employee at Alliant Power for 7 ½ years and started as an intern. I was drawn to the company by the family-oriented culture and personal atmosphere. Today I oversee the Engineering, Warranty, and Fuel Shop operations, and have been allowed to work in many different areas with many great people. I enjoy interacting with my Alliant Power team, as well as our customers. Everyone is very focused and growth-oriented while keeping the personal feel that originally drew me to the company. There is a ton of passion to ensure the customer is taken care of and is receiving the highest level of service. It makes it easy to come to work when that level of commitment to our company, and customer goals surrounds you.
Over the years with Alliant Power, I have grown both personally and professionally. Alliant Power has allowed me to advance my career and continue to grow and learn. With personal and company growth comes new exhilarating challenges that keep me on my toes and make the job exciting. The variety of things I get to do daily makes the job unique and allows me to learn new skills.
Alliant Power is a company that truly values growth among its employees. I started as a technician coming out of school and so did many of my colleagues who I worked with in the shop. Many of us wanted growth and the company has invested in us. Now I have the pleasure of using that training to teach those around me and our customers who are our priority. When I receive a call from a customer thanking me or calling out an individual who went above and beyond, it is priceless.
