The Duramax 6.6L L5P engine was updated in 2017 and continues to be in production. There was also an update to the L5P found on the medium-duty applications in 2019, known as the L5D. This L5P webinar will cover the following:
- Engine design and changes compared to LML.
- Review the updates done to the turbocharger and discuss diagnostics
- Review the new Denso common rail system including both the low and high pressure systems. Included will be the low fuel rail supply and hydrocarbon injector operation.
- Introduction to the L5D engine found in medium-duty trucks.
- Review the aftertreatment on L5P including the DPF, SCR, NOX and EGR system.
