When it comes to diesel engine performance, the quality of your fuel injectors is paramount. At Alliant Power, we understand this, which is why we’ve dedicated ourselves to a remanufacturing process that not only matches the standards of Ford® and Navistar® but also delivers a significant price advantage.

Our Commitment to Precision: A Component-by-Component Breakdown

We believe in transparency. Here’s a detailed look at how we remanufacture G2.8 injectors, demonstrating our dedication to quality:

  • Coil Assembly:
    • Every coil is thoroughly tested for wire damage. Defective coils are discarded.
    • Nicked or bare wires are repaired using our patented process.
    • Bullet connectors and coil cross bolts/nuts are replaced as needed.
    • Each coil undergoes rigorous testing, both individually and within a complete injector assembly.
    • We reuse or repair coils when possible, keeping costs down without compromising quality.
  • End Cap:
    • OEM end caps now feature a slot to reduce “stiction.”
    • Our remanufactured injectors may have slotted or non-slotted end caps.
    • We treat both styles equally, as data doesn’t conclusively prove slotted caps eliminate all stiction issues.
    • We’ve seen stiction complaints with both styles of end caps.
    • See Alliant Power Technical Bulletin APTB 01/09 R1 for more information on stiction.
  • Disk Check Assembly:
    • This critical component seals high fuel pressures (up to 25,000 psi).
    • We use a precise refinishing process to restore sealing surfaces to OEM quality.
    • Refinished parts are measured for thickness; those below minimum standards are discarded.

The Alliant Power Advantage: Quality and Value

Our meticulous process ensures that our remanufactured G2.8 injectors deliver performance comparable to new OEM parts, at a more competitive price. We achieve this by:

  • Employing precise testing and rebuilding methods.
  • Continuously monitoring and improving our processes based on customer feedback and warranty analysis.
  • Using a blend of remanufactured and new components to maintain quality and control costs.

At Alliant Power, we’re committed to providing diesel technicians with reliable, high-quality remanufactured injectors. We take pride in our remanufacturing process, and we are confident that our product is a great choice for your diesel engine.
